SMS Messages These are text messages that are sent specifically to and from your phone number. When an SMS message is received, your phone: 1 Makes three short alert tones. 2 Displays the o (messages) icon. 3 Stores the message for later viewing, if there is space. If there is not enough space, the o icon will flash. One or more messages must be removed before the message can be stored. Your Cellular Service Provider will transmit a message for a limited amount of time. If a memory location is not made available before the message is removed from the network, then you will not be able to receive or read it. 4 Message will then be displayed with the prompt Read Now? 5 If O is pressed, the phone will enter the Received Messages browser and immediately display the new message. 6 If C is pressed the phone will return to the screen which was displayed prior to receipt of the message. 7 If any other key is pressed it will perform the function linked with that key. 8 If no key is pressed the display will time-out after 1 minute and return to the screen which was displayed prior to receipt of the message.
