Select Basic Settings to view the Basic Settings menu and configure the settings appropriate for your network (The default settings are usually adequate for most situations; see "Setting Basic IP Options" on page 2-9 for guidance on changing these settings). 5. Enable 802.1Q VLAN, if required. (This option is only useful if the hubs/switches on your LAN support the VLAN 802.1Q standard. If so, you can enable this feature. Figure 2-3. 6.
