The number of times the shutter has been released since the battery was last charged. Note that the camera may sometimes release the shutter without recording a photograph (e.g., when measuring a value for preset white balance). A five-level display showing battery age, from 0 (new) to 4 (displayed when the battery has reached the end of its charging life and requires replacement). Note that charging life may be temporarily reduced if the battery has been charged at low temperatures; the display will return to normal if the battery is charged again at room temperature.
