Shooting, Playback and Setup Menus Shooting Options: The Shooting Menu The shooting menu of auto mode and the high sensitivity menu of high sensitivity mode contain the following options. A Image mode1 A100 Choose the image mode (a combination of the image size and image quality (compression)) to be used when recording. B White balance A102 Match white balance to the light source. G Metering A104 Choose how the camera meters exposure. C Continuous A105 Change settings for Continuous and BSS (Best Shot Selector). E ISO sensitivity2 A108 Control the camera's sensitivity to light. F Color options A109 Apply color effects to pictures as they are recorded. G AF area mode A110 Choose where the camera focuses. I Autofocus mode A113 Choose how the camera focuses. 1 The Image mode setting is also available from other shooting mode (except the movie mode). 2 This setting cannot be set in the high sensitivity mode. Displaying the Shooting Menu Change the camera mode to A (auto) or B (high sensitivity) mode (A22, 50). Press the d button to display the shooting menu or the high sensitivity menu. Shooting menu Image mode White balance Metering Continuous ISO sensitivity 16 Exit • Use the rotary multi selector to choose and apply settings (A10). • Press the d button to exit the shooting menu or the high sensitivity menu.
