Basic Camera Setup: The Setup Menu i Sound Settings Press the d button M z (Setup menu) (A122) M i Sound settings Adjust the following sound settings. Button sound Turn button sound On (default setting) or Off. A beep will sound once when operations are completed successfully, twice when the camera acquires focus on the subject, and three times when error is detected. Start-up sound will also play when the camera is turned on. Shutter sound Choose shutter sound from On (default setting) or Off. k Auto Off Press the d button M z (Setup menu) (A122)M k Auto off If no operations are performed for the selected length of time, the monitor will turn off and the camera enters standby mode (A17) to reduce drain on the batteries. The power-on lamp blinks in standby mode. If no operations are performed for another three minutes, the camera will turn off automatically. Choose the time allowed to elapse before the camera enters standby mode if no operations are performed from 30 s, 1 min (default setting), 5 min, and 30 min. C Canceling Standby Mode Cancel standby mode and reactivate the monitor by pressing the buttons below. • Power switch • Shutter-release button • A button • c button C Notes on Auto Off Regardless of the option selected, the monitor will remain on as follows. • When menus are displayed: three minutes • Slideshow playback: maximum of 30 minutes • AC adapter is connected: 30 minutes 134 Shooting, Playback and Setup Menus
