Shooting Options: The Shooting Menu G AF-Area Mode Set to A / B M d (Shooting menu) M G AF area mode Use this option to determine where the camera focuses. When digital zoom is in effect, the camera will focus on the subject in the center focus area regardless of the applied AF area mode option. z Face priority (default setting) The camera automatically detects and focuses on a face looking toward the camera (see "Shooting with Face Priority" (A112) for more information). If the camera detects multiple faces, the camera focuses on the face closest to the camera. When shooting pictures of subjects other than people, or framing a subject with which no face is 15 recognized, AF area mode will be set to Auto.
