The subject is dark, so shutter speed is too slow or ISO sensitivity is too high. Noise can be reduced by: • Use flash. • Specifying a lower ISO sensitivity setting. • Using a scene mode which has noise reduction ability. • Flash is W (off ). • Flash window is blocked. • Subject is beyond flash range. • Adjust exposure compensation. • Use high sensitivity mode, or raise the ISO sensitivity. • Subject is backlit. Use Backlight or change the flash mode to X (fill flash). Pictures are too bright (overexposed). Adjust exposure compensation.
