q Phonebook Chain dial This feature allows you to dial phone numbers in the phonebook while you are on a call. This feature can be used, for example, to dial a calling card access number or bank account PIN that you have stored in the phonebook, without having to dial manually. 1 During an outside call, press {MENU}. 2 "Phonebook" i {SELECT} 3 Find the desired item (page 22). i {CALL} Note: L When storing a calling card access number and your PIN in the phonebook as one phonebook item, press {PAUSE} to add pauses after the number and PIN as necessary (page 18). L If you have rotary or pulse service, you need to press {*} before pressing {MENU} in step 1 to change the dialing mode temporarily to tone. Copying phonebook items You can copy one or all of the phonebook items from this unit to the phonebook of the base unit or a compatible Panasonic unit (KX-THA11/KX-THA12/KX-THA16/ KX-THA17). Important: L The picture ID setting for phonebook items is not copied. L In order to correctly copy a ringer ID as a phonebook item, the same melodies must be stored in identical order in the memories of both units involved. If the melody order in memory is different in the copy destination unit from the sending unit, the ringer ID will not be copied properly. (This is not necessary if the ringer ID is set to use a preset melody.) L The melodies and songs for ringer ID are not copied to the base unit. Important:
