The unit autmatically selects the most suitable setting according to the type of playing source. Press [SHIFT]i[H.BASS]. ≥When DVD-Video or DVD-RAM is selected H.BASS ON (factory preset),------.H.BASS OFF ≥When another source is selected H.BASS OFF (factory preset),------.H.BASS ON TAL ALL HDCD H.BASS OG. D.MIX RND A B dB w REC CH The setting you make is retained, and recalled every time you play the same type of source. MIX 2CH r ZOOM Down-mixing You can output the down-mixed 2 channel signal when necessary (e.g. when you intend to record 5.1ch sound on other recording equipment). Press [SHIFT]i[MIX 2CH]. To cancel Press [SHIFT]i[MIX 2CH] again. [Note] ≥This works only when you are playing multiple channel signals. ≥When "D.MIX" flashes on the display, the disc contains multiple- channel signals that cannot be down-mixed. [DVD-A] SHIFT r SLEEP PL Sleep timer Turns the unit off after a set time. Press [SHIFT]i[SLEEP] to select the time (in minutes). CH SELECT MUTING Muting Mutes the sound. Press [MUTING]. ≥"MUTING" flashes on the unit's display. To cancel ≥Press [MUTING] again or reduce the volume to minimum (- - dB), then raise it to the required level. ≥Muting is canceled when you switch the unit to standby or turn up the volume from minimum (- - dB).
