Listening clearly at low volume • This function compresses the dynamic range of Dolby Digital contents. • Without affecting the sound field, the function makes spoken lines easier to catch at low volume by reducing the difference between the maximum and minimum sounds created by audio signals. This convenient function allows you to enjoy commercial sources late at night when you cannot produce big sounds. Switching the attenuator • Switch the attenuator on when sounds become distorted while playing an analog input source and the sign "OVERFLOW " appears on the display. Adjusting audio timing to video timing • Adjust audio timing to video timing by delaying audio output by 40 msec or so when pictures arrive after sounds.
