≥When the USB Driver is installed and the SD Video Camera is connected to the personal computer for the first time, the [Found New Hardware Wizard] screen may appear. Complete the operation in the following procedure, and the personal computer will recognize the SD Video Camera. 1Click [Next]. 2Confirm whether your device is configured to the optimal driver detection setting and click [Next]. 3Insert the supplied CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive. 4Enter the path as "D:\USB Driver\files" (example of D drive assigned as CD-ROM drive.) 5Click [Next]. 6Click [Next]. 7Click [Finish]. ª Constructing a Folder when the Memory Card is used with a PC (l 50) ≥[DCIM], [SD_VIDEO], [SD_VOICE] etc. are necessary items in the folder structure. They have nothing to do with actual operations. ≥The memory capacity indicated on the SD Memory Card label corresponds to the total amount of the capacity to protect and manage the copyright and of the capacity available as a conventional memory for a SD Video Camera, Personal Computer or others. ≥The [SD_VOICE] folder, the voice files contained in it, and [SD_AUDIO] folder are specified to the hidden files. Those folders and files may not be displayed on the Explorer and My Computer screen depending on the setting of your PC. ≥Files are numbered hexadecimally. ≥Do not delete any folders located on the Memory Card. If this is done, the Memory Card may not be recognized on your SD Video Camera. ≥The MPEG4 moving picture file (ASF format) can be played on the Windows Media Player 6.4 or later. If files recorded with [Extra fine] are to be played back on a PC, [MPEG4 Decoder Plug-in] on the CD-ROM (supplied) must be installed. If sound cannot be played back, download the appropriate software (G.726). (G.726 is installed at the same time as the supplied software, SD-MovieStage Ver.2.5.) ≥When formatting a Memory Card, format it on the SD Video Camera or on SD-Jukebox Ver.4. ≥When a moving picture is played back on a personal computer, a black belt may be present along the top and bottom of the picture. ≥If data not supported by the SD Video Camera is recorded on a personal computer, it cannot be recognized by the SD Video Camera. ≥When you play back MPEG4 moving picture files (ASF format) recorded for 3 or more minutes with the SD Video Camera on Windows Media Player, these files may be stopped. Also, when using these files on SD-MovieStage, you may fail in [Play], [Cut edit] or [Convert]. In this case, click [Windows Media Update] on the installation screen or [WMP9QFEInst.exe] in [WMP9QFE] folder on the CD-ROM and follow the messages to update Windows Media Player. (This update is effective when you play back these files with Windows Media Player and the playback is stopped about 3 or 4 minutes later.) 65
