Names and Functions BEFORE USING/NAMES AND FUNCTIONS Front Panel 1 2 DV-533K STANDBY/ON MIC VOLUME ECHO MIN-MAX MIN-MAX 5 41 ¡¢ 0 6 78 1 2 DV-533/DV-440 STANDBY/ON 41 ¡¢ 0 6 78 3 7 8 Î 3 90 - 3 7 8 Î 3 90 - 4 DVD PLAYER 4 DVD PLAYER 1 STANDBY/ON button Press to switch the player on or to put in standby (pages 20, 23). 2 Disc tray When loading a disc, place discs in the disc tray with the label side facing up (pages 20, 23). 3 Remote sensor Point the remote control toward the remote sensor to operate the player (page 8). 4 Display window Displays system information (page 10). 5 Karaoke controls (DV-533K only) MIC input jack Use to connect a microphone (not supplied) to the player to use the karaoke function. The karaoke function is active when a microphone is connected (page 50). VOLUME control Turn to adjust the volume of the vocals when using the karaoke function (page 50). ECHO control Turn to adjust the amount of digital echo effect to add to the vocals when using the karaoke function (page 50). 6 0 (open/close) button Press to open and close the disc tray (pages 20, 23). 7 4 1 (reverse) button Press to go back to previous chapters/tracks. Press and hold to perform reverse playback scanning (pages 22). 8 ¡ ¢ (forward) button Press to advance to chapters/tracks. Press and hold to perform fast-forward scanning (page 22). 9 7 (stop) button Press to stop playback. Pressing once enables playback to resume from a point shortly before the location where it stopped. Pressing twice causes the disc to return to the beginning of the disc if playback starts again (page 23). 0 8 (pause) button Press during playback to pause.
