Care and Maintenance Cleaning the Camcorder To clean the camcorder's exterior, remove any power source connected to the camcorder and gently wipe it with a clean soft cloth. Caution: Use of strong cleaning products, such as those containing alcohol or benzine, might damage the camcorder. Cleaning the Lens To clean the camcorder's lens, blow it with a blower brush, and then gently wipe the lens with cleaning tissue and commercially prepared cleaning solution designed for use on camera lens. Improper cleaning might scratch the lens. Lens Clean the LCD Monitor LCD Monitor Cleaning the Viewfinder Caution: Do not touch the lens with your fingers. The oil from your skin can damage the lens. To clean the camcorder's LCD monitor, use a clean, soft cloth to carefully wipe the monitor. Improper cleaning may scratch the monitor. Caution: Do not touch the monitor with your fingers. The oil from your skin might damage the monitor. Caution: Do not force the cover to open completely. This might damage the cover. 62 1. Depress tab to open small cover. 2. Gently use a cotton swab and clean the mirror inside the viewfinder. 3. Gently close cover until tab snaps in place.
