Troubleshooting Recording Symptom You don't hear the beep sound. There is a time difference between the point where you press the OK (REC) button and the point where the recorded video starts/ stops. Horizontal stripes appear on the images. Explanation/Solution • Set "Beep Sound" to "On". ¬page 60 • The beep sound is temporarily turned off while recording videos. • When the mini HDMI cable is connected to the product, the Beep Sound is not available. • On your product, there may be a slight time delay between the point where you press the OK (REC) button and the actual point where the recorded video starts/stops. This is not an error. • This occurs when recording images under a fluorescent lamp, sodium lamp, or mercury lamp. This is not a malfunction. Storage Media Symptom Memory card functions do not operate. Image can not be deleted. You can not format the memory card. The data file name is not indicated correctly. Explanation/Solution • Insert a memory card into your product properly. ¬page 29 • If you use a memory card formatted on a computer, format it again directly on your product. ¬page 62 • You can not delete a protected image. Release protection of the image using the Protect function. ¬page 54 • The memory card is not supported on your product or the card has some problems. • The file may be corrupted. • The file format is not supported by your product. • The file name is displayed correctly only if the directory structure complies with the international standard. 78
