Phone functions Adding and transferring contact information There are a number of ways in which telephone numbers and contacts can be entered and stored, and there are also a number of ways to make a phone call. Therefore it is important to be able to transfer those contacts between the programmes used to make calls. Why transfer numbers? • In the event you lose your SIM card while using it in another device, your SIM numbers will be backed up on to your device. • If you want to transfer a number to Speed Dial, it must be in Contacts, not on the SIM card. • If you are using your SIM in another device, you may need the numbers stored in Contacts. • Transferring numbers to Contacts allows you to create more detailed records. 72
