Clearing the Cache The cache is the phone's temporary memory in which the most recently accessed WAP pages are stored. You can clear the cache at anytime. 1. In Idle mode, press the Menu soft key to access Menu mode. 2. Highlight MEdia Net and press the Select soft key or the key. 3. Select Clear Cache. 4. Press the Yes soft key or the key to confirm the deletion. 5. When you have finished, press the key. Changing the WAP Profiles You can set up server profiles for the WAP browser. 1. In Idle mode, press the Menu soft key to access Menu mode. 2. Select MEdia Net. Highlight Browser Profiles and press the Select soft key or the key. 3. Highlight Profile Settings and press the Select soft key or the key. 4. Select the profile you want. For each profile, the following options are available: • Profile Name: enter a name that you wish to assign to the HTTP proxy server. • Home URL: set the address of your startup homepage. When the default homepage displays, you can delete it using the key and enter your own choice. • Proxy use: place a check in the box to use the proxy server. • GPRS setting: allows you to choose from the following options: - Proxy Address: enter the Proxy address of the proxy server. - Proxy Port: enter a port number or use default setting. - APN: enter the access point name used for the address of the GPRS network gateway. - Login ID: enter the User ID required to connect to the GPRS network. - Password: enter the password required to connect to the GPRS network. Note: The WAP settings may vary depending on the service provider. 85

Clearing the Cache
