Changing the camera's focus Learn how to adjust the camera's focus to suit the subject and the shooting conditions. Using macro Use macro to capture close-up photos of subjects, such as flowers or insects. 1 In Shooting mode, press [ ]. Focus Normal (AF) Macro Back Select • Try to hold the camera firmly to prevent blurry photos. • Turn off the flash if the distance to the subject is less than 15.7 in. (40 cm). 2 Select an option. Icon Description Normal (AF): Focus on a subject farther than 80 cm away. Farther than 200 cm away when you use the zoom. Macro: Focus on a subject that is 5-80 cm from the camera. 150-200 cm when you use the zoom. Auto Macro: • Automatically focus on a subject farther than 5 cm away. Farther than 150 cm away when you use the zoom. • It is set automatically in some shooting modes. Available options may differ depending on the shooting conditions. In some modes, you can also set the focus option by pressing [ ], and then selecting Focus. Shooting options 62
