Changing the camera's focus Learn how to adjust the camera's focus to suit the subject and the shooting conditions. Using macro Use macro to capture close-up photos of subjects, such as flowers or insects. 1 In Shooting mode, press [ ]. Focus Normal (AF) Macro Back Select • Try to hold the camera firmly to prevent blurry photos. • Turn off the flash if the distance to the subject is less than 15.7 in. (40 cm). 2 Select an option. Icon Description Normal (AF): Focus on a subject farther than 80 cm away. Farther than 200 cm away when you use the zoom. Macro: Focus on a subject that is 5-80 cm from the camera. 150-200 cm when you use the zoom. Auto Macro: • Automatically focus on a subject farther than 5 cm away. Farther than 150 cm away when you use the zoom. • It is set automatically in some shooting modes. Available options may differ depending on the shooting conditions. Normal (AF)
: Focus on a subject farther than 80 cm
away. Farther than 200 cm away when you use the
zoom.
Macro
: Focus on a subject that is 5–80 cm from the
camera. 150–200 cm when you use the zoom.
Auto Macro
:
Automatically focus on a subject farther than 5 cm
away. Farther than 150 cm away when you use the
zoom.
It is set automatically in some shooting modes.
Available options may differ depending on the shooting conditions.
In some modes, you can also set the focus option by pressing [
],
and then selecting
Focus
.
Using macro
