7. Selected disc play Press one of the disc select buttons ([DISC 1], [DISC 2], [DISC 3], [DISC 4], [DISC 5]) to select the disc to be played first. cos O DISC I fl 17.fl 4 Q3 U L_I•U " ► " and "1 DISC" appear. Playback starts from the first track of the selected disc. The track number and elapsed playing time for the current track are displayed. When the last track of the selected disc has been played, the changer stops automatically. The total track number and total playing time of the selected disc appear. "TOTAL" appears. All discs play If the desired disc number has been selected, press [ ] to start play. "DISC" appears. When the last track of the last disc has been played, the changer stops automatically. "DISC" is replaced by "TOTAL". NOTE: If the disc is loaded with label facing downward, or if a badly scratched disc is loaded, the changer will search a playable disc. If a playable disc is not found, "no DISC" appears on the display. 8. Press [CLEAR • ] at any time to end disc play. To start play from the desired track 1. Press the desired disc select button ([DISC 1], [DISC 2], [DISC 3], [DISC 4], [DISC 5]), then press [CLEAR • ]. 2. Select the desired track by using [ ] or [ IN-0.1010•1], then press [ ], Ejecting or changing discs While the changer is playing one disc, you can eject another disc without stopping play. 1. Press [CD OPEN/CLOSE] when a disc is playing, play will not stop and the disc tray will slide out. 2. Remove (or replace) the disc. 3. Press [CD OPEN/CLOSE]. Temporarily stopping play Press and elapsed playing time blink on the display. To resume play, press the button again. Skip play Example: To skip to track 6 while track 3 is playing, press [IIN-I1,10401] repeatedly until "6" appears in the TR (Track) section on the display. To skip back to track 3 while track 6 is playing, press [414 /440] repeatedly until "3" appears. TUNING 44 /44 - Search (forward/reverse) If [ /44 ] or [ ] is pressed during play, the changer will search at high speed in the forward or reverse direction while the but- ton is being pressed. When the button is released, normal play will continue. Repeat play (Remote control only) This unit has three different repeat modes. Press [REPEAT] on the remote control repeatedly to select the desired mode in the following sequence. The selected repeat mode is shown on the display. -TUNING/TIME SET♦ DISC CHANGE c?,,,ETsE O BAND REPEAL (±5 SLEEP TIMER REPEAT DISC jf (Repeat all tracks on all discs) REPEAT 1 DISC jf (Repeat all tracks on the selected disc) REPEAT 1 (Repeat one track) DISC (Normal play mode) NOTE: During programmed play, only "REPEAT" and "REPEAT 1" can be selected. Random play (Remote control only) 1. Press [RANDOM] repeatedly to select the random play mode. The display changes as follows: - TUNING/TIME SET. Changing discs during play While the changer is playing one disc, press one of the disc select buttons ([DISC 1], [DISC 2], [DISC 3], [DISC 4], [DISC 5]) to skip to another disc. - --:--" blinks for a few seconds, then the selected disc moves into playing position. Playback starts automatically from the first track on the disc. Time display selection Press [DISPLAY] repeatedly during normal play. The display changes in the following sequence: 0 0 PII! DISr,HY 0 +10 DAM - (Th + VOL VOL REMAIN (Remaining playing time for the current track) REMAIN TOTAL (Total remaining playing time for the disc) TOTAL (Elapsed playing time for the disc) Released (Elapsed playing time for the current track) NOTES: • During programmed play, "REMAIN TOTAL" and "TOTAL" cannot be displayed. • The displayed playing times may differ slightly from the times listed on the notes accompanying the disc. -E10-
