BEFORE OPERATION Turning the power on and off Press [ O/ON ]. The displays light. To turn off the power, press [ o/ON ] again. • When the power cord is connected to the AC outlet, the unit will respond to commands from the remote control. - Selecting the function Press [FUNCTION] to select the desired function. Each time [FUNCTION] is pressed, the display changes as follows: CD TAPE TU (Tuner) The function is automatically selected when the CD play is started, or when [BAND] is pressed. • When the function selection is changed, CD play is automati- cally stopped. To reduce the volume temporarily (muting) Press [MUTE] on the remote control. "MUTE" blinks on the display. To restore the previous volume setting, press [MUTE] again. "MUTE" disappears. Bass expander system Press [BASSXPANDER] to enhance the bass sound. "BASS" appears on the display. • It works efficiently at the low volume level. Adjusting the volume Press [VOLUME] V or A.
