CARE AND MAINTENANCE The frequency of maintenance (descaling) will depend on the hardness of the water that you use; the harder the water the more often descaling will be necessary. MIST UNIT 1 Preparing the descaling solution. Citric acid, available at some drugstores, or 100% bottled lemon juice are used for descaling. Choose one to use, and prepare the descaling solution. Dissolve 3 teaspoon of citric acid and 600 ml of luke-warm water in some suitable container, and stir well. Use only bottled 100% lemon juice with no pulp (please check before using and strain through a fine strainer if you are not sure). Pour 50 ml of lemon juice and 600 ml of luke-warm water in some suitable container, and stir well. 2 Presoak a mist filter set in the solution prior to cleaning.
