Useful adjustment settings Canadian English ratings 1 Press TV MENU and the MENU screen displays. 2 Press ϵ/϶ to select (LOCKS). 3 Press ϳ/ϴ. The password entering menu displays. 4 Input the 4-digit password by using 0-9, then press ENTER. The LOCKS menu displays. 5 Press ϳ/ϴ to select "V-CHIP SET", then press ϵ/϶. The V-CHIP SET menu displays. 6 Press ϳ/ϴ to select "CAN ENG RATING". Then press ϵ/϶ to select the desired rating. How to temporarily release the V-CHIP block The V-CHIP block is working and censors a broadcast, "THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN BLOCKED!" displays. 1 Press MUTE while the V-CHIP is working and then the password entering menu displays. 2 Enter your 4-digit password with 0-9, then press ENTER. At this time V-CHIP block temporarily releases. Reactivating the temporarily released V-CHIP block You can reactivate the temporarily released V-CHIP block as shown below. Method 1: Change to the other channel. Method 2: Switch off the TV power. NOTE • Performing any of the two above will activate the V-CHIP block. 32
