F squares the value. 2. % b calculates the square root. 3. % c calculates the specified root (x) of the value. 4. % a calculates the reciprocal. 5. G raises a value to a specified power. Notes • The examples on the transparency masters assume all default settings. • To use G, enter the base, press G, and then enter the exponent. • The base (or mantissa) and the exponent may be either positive or negative. Refer to Domain under Error Messages in Appendix C for restrictions. • The result of calculations with G must be within the range of the TI-34 Û. • A sign change takes precedence over exponents.
