28 Finding Your Way Around Right side The RGB (monitor) port allows you to connect an external monitor. The security lock slot allows you to attach an optional PORT- Noteworthy® computer lock cable to your computer to secure it to a large, heavy object such as your desk. Right side Speaker PC Card ejection tabs PC Card slots USB port Cooling vent The internal speaker allows you to hear sounds from your system, including audio CDs and DVD-ROMs. The PC Card ejection tabs release PC Cards from the corresponding slots. The two stacked PC Card slots support up to two Type I or Type II PC Cards, or one Type III PC Card. See "Using PC Cards" on page 152 for more information. The USB (Universal Serial Bus) port allows you to connect USB peripherals, such as a mouse, printer or external keyboard to your computer. The cooling vent prevents the computer's central processing unit (CPU) from overheating so that it can continue to perform at its maximum speed. CAUTION: To prevent possible overheating of the CPU, make sure you don't block the cooling vents.
