Replacing the Laser Print Cartridge Replacing the Laser Print Cartridge When the laser print cartridge runs low on toner, the printer's Control Panel display will read Toner Low. You should replace the laser print cartridge soon after this message appears to avoid loss of print quality. This is a simple procedure, described on the following pages. • Do not expose the laser print cartridge to direct sunlight or artificial light for more than 15 minutes. Overexposure will permanently damage the photosensitive imaging drum. • Do not open the drum shutter (see Figure 4.1 below) or touch the blue imaging drum surface. Replacing the Laser Print Cartridge
When the laser print cartridge runs low on toner, the
printer’s Control Panel display will read
Toner Low
. You
should replace the laser print cartridge soon after this
message appears to avoid loss of print quality. This is a
simple procedure, described on the following pages.
Do not expose the laser print cartridge to direct
sunlight or artificial light for more than 15 minutes.
Overexposure will permanently damage the
photosensitive imaging drum.
