Operational Safety Operational Safety Your printer and supplies were designed and tested to meet strict safety requirements. These include safety agency examination, approval, and compliance with established environmental standards. Your attention to the following safety guidelines will help to ensure the continued safe operation of your printer. • Use the material and supplies specifically designed for your printer. The use of unsuitable materials may result in poor performance and possibly a hazardous situation. • Follow all warnings and instructions marked on, or supplied with, the printer, options and supplies. • Place the printer in a dust free area where the temperature range is 41° F to 95° F (5° C to 35° C) and the relative humidity is 15% to 85%. • Place the printer in an area where there is adequate space for ventilation, operation and servicing. The recommended minimal spacing is 24 in. (600 mm) in front of and behind the printer, and 12 in. (300 mm) on each side of the printer. Safety Notes y xi
