Style (Auto-accompaniment) Functions Basic operation of the Style (auto-accompaniment) feature is described on page 26 of the Quick Guide. Here are some other ways you can play the styles, the style volume adjustment procedure, and more. Pattern Variation (Sections) The instrument features a wide variety of style "sections" that allow you to vary the arrangement of the accompaniment to match the song you are playing. Intro Main A/B Reference Ending Auto fill INTRO section This is used for the beginning of the Song. When the intro finishes playing, accompaniment shifts to the main section. The length of the intro (in measures) differs depending on the selected Style. MAIN section This is used for playing the main part of the Song. It plays a main accompaniment pattern, and repeats indefinitely until another section's button is pressed. There are two variations on the basic pattern (A and B), and the Style playback sound changes harmonically based on the chords you play with your left hand. Fill-in section This is automatically added before changing to section A or B. ENDING section This is used for the ending of the Song. When the ending is finished, the auto accompaniment stops automatically. The length of the ending (in measures) differs depending on the selected Style. 1 Press the [STYLE] button and then select a style. 2 Press the [ACMP ON/OFF] button to turn auto accompaniment on. 3 Press the [SYNC START] button to turn synchro start on. Appears when Auto Accompaniment is on. 60 Owner's Manual Beat arrows will flash when the synchro start standby mode is engaged Synchro Start When the synchro start standby mode is engaged, style playback will begin as soon as you play a chord in the accompaniment range of the keyboard. You can disengage the synchro-start standby mode by pressing the [SYNC START] button again.
