MIDI Data Format If you're already very familiar with MIDI, or are using a computer to control your music hardware with computergenerated MIDI messages, the data provided in this section can help you to control the YPP-200. 1. (The appropriate note off number is supplied with "All Note Off" transmission). • When a voice bank MSB/LSB is received, the number is stored in the internal buffer regardless of the received order, then the stored value is used to select the appropriate voice when a program change message is received. • The Multi-timbre and Poly modes are always active. No change occurs when OMNI ON, OMNI OFF, MONO, or POLY mode messages are received. YPP-200 41

When control change reception is turned OFF in the Function
mode, control change data will not be transmitted or received
except for Bank Select and Mode messages.
Local on/off, OMNI on/off are not transmitted. (The appropriate
note off number is supplied with “All Note Off” transmission).
When a voice bank MSB/LSB is received, the number is stored
in the internal buffer regardless of the received order, then the
stored value is used to select the appropriate voice when a
program change message is received.
