Safety BeltUse During Pregnancy Safety belts workfor everyone, including pregnant women. Like all occupants, they more likely to be are seriously injuredif they don't wear safety belts. To unlatch the belt, push the button on the buckle. just The belt should go back out of the way. Before youclose the door, be sure belt is out of the the way. If you slam the door it, you can damage both the on belt and your vehicle. A pregnant woman should wear a lap-shoulder belt, and the lap portion should be worn as low as possible, below the rounding, throughout the pregnancy. 1-19
