UNDERSTANDING THE FEATURES OF YOUR VEHICLE 165 When the system is turned on and in the READY state, To Activate the Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) dis- Push and release the ON/OFF/MODE button located on the end of the speed control lever. The ACC menu in the plays "ACC READY." EVIC displays "ACC READY." When the system is OFF, the EVIC displays "CRUISE OFF." NOTE: You cannot enable ACC under the following conditions: • When you apply the brakes. • When the parking brake is set. • When the automatic transmission is in PARK, REVERSE or NEUTRAL. • When the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) is switched off. To turn the system OFF, push and release the ON/OFF/ • When pushing the RESUME/ACCEL switch without a MODE button again. At this time, the system will turn off previously set speed in memory. and the EVIC will display "CRUISE OFF." 3
