Steering Column Controls The controls on the steering column and wheel are designed to give you easy access to the controls while you are driving. The Turn Signal Lever You can use the turn signal lever on the left side of the steering column to: s operate the turn signals and cornering lamps s turn the high beams on/off s flash the lamps s turn the windshield wipers and washer on/off Turn Signals Turn signal lever and functions If the turn indicator light in the instrument panel does not illuminate or remains on (doesn't flash) when you signal a turn, the turn signaling system is malfunctioning. Have this condition corrected as soon as possible, but make sure that you use the accepted hand signals in the meantime. 87
