GENERAL INFORMATION 51 j Belt Drive Transmission This vehicle is equipped with a belt-driven Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). This automatic drive system, although simple to operate, does require periodic inspection. Refer to the "MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT" chapter. Parking Brake Lever The parking brake lever is located at the right side of the operator's seat. Pull the lever up and to the rear to apply the parking brake. To release, push in and hold the knob on the end of the lever and push the lever all the way down. Spring pressure helps return the knob to the released position. Be sure to release the parking brake before driving off. Failure to do so may result in poor performance and premature wearing of the rear brakes and belt converter system. A. Parking Brake Lever B. Belt Drive Transmission
This vehicle is equipped with a belt-driven Contin-
uously Variable Transmission (CVT). This automatic
drive system, although simple to operate, does re-
quire periodic inspection.
Refer to the “MAINTE-
NANCE AND ADJUSTMENT” chapter.
Parking Brake Lever
The parking brake lever is located at the right side
of the operator’s seat. Pull the lever up and to the
rear to apply the parking brake.
To release, push in and hold the knob on the end of
the lever and push the lever all the way down. Spring
pressure helps return the knob to the released posi-
tion.
Be sure to release the parking brake before driving
off. Failure to do so may result in poor performance
and premature wearing of the rear brakes and belt
converter system.
