Parking Brake FEATURES AND CONTROLS WARNING Operating the ATV while the parking brake is engaged could result in an accident and serious injury or death. Always check to be sure the parking brake is disengaged before operating. Setting the Parking Brake 1. Place the transmission in first gear or neutral. 2. Squeeze and release the brake lever (1) two or three times, then squeeze and hold. 3. Push the park brake lock (2) forward to engage the lock. Release the brake lever. 4. To release the parking brake lock, squeeze and release the brake lever. It will return to its unlocked position. 2 1 61

1. Placethetransmissioninfirstgearorneutral.
2. Squeezeandreleasethebrakelever(1)twoorthree
times,thensqueezeandhold.
3. Pushtheparkbrakelock(2)forwardtoengagethe
lock. Releasethebrakelever.
4. Toreleasetheparkingbrakelock,squeezeandrelease
thebrakelever.Itwillreturntoitsunlockedposition.
OperatingtheATVwhiletheparkingbrakeisengagedcouldresultinanaccidentand
seriousinjuryordeath. Alwayschecktobesuretheparkingbrakeisdisengaged
beforeoperating.
