FEATURES AND CONTROLS Fuel Tank The fuel tank filler cap is located directly below the handlebar. Use either leaded or unleaded gasoline with a minimum pump octane number of 87=(R+ M/2) octane. Fuel Filter The fuel valve has an internal fuel filter. Do not attempt to clean the fuel filter. See your Polaris dealer for service if you suspect the fuel filter is plugged. Choke The choke assists in starting a cold engine. Refer to the engine starting procedure on page 74 for correct choke and throttle settings during starting. The choke is fully on when the choke knob (1) is pulled completely out. The choke is off when the knob is pushed completely in. 1 64
