OPERATION Starting a Cold Engine WARNING Engine exhaust contains poisonous carbon monoxide and can cause loss of consciousness resulting in severe injury or death. Never run an engine in an enclosed area. CAUTION Operating the vehicle immediately after starting could cause engine damage. Allow the engine to warm up for several minutes before operating. 1. Place the transmission in neutral, lock the parking brake and disengage the clutch. Make sure the fuel valve is on. 2. Sit on the ATV and pull the choke knob (1) out until it stops. NOTE: If the knob doesn't stay where positioned, increase the tension by rotating the tension adjusting nut clockwise. 1 74
