Uneven settings can cause poor handling and loss of stability. The extension spring preload can be adjusted by turning the extension spring preload adjusting nut. To increase the extension spring preload, turn the adjusting nut in. To decrease the extension spring preload, turn the adjusting nut out. CAUTION: G G Be sure to make this adjustment when there is no load (rider or cargo) on the snowmobile. Make sure that the full rate adjusting bolt ends are set at the same position on each side. NOTE: Never allow the full rate adjusting bolt to move while loosening or tightening the nut. 1. Loosen the nut 1/2 or 3/4 turn, while holding the adjusting bolt securely with a wrench so it does not move. 24

Adjusting the rear suspension extension
spring preload
CAUTION:
ECS00270
The left and right extension spring preload
must be set to the same setting. Uneven
settings can cause poor handling and loss
of stability.
The extension spring preload can be adjusted
by turning the extension spring preload ad-
justing nut.
To increase the extension spring preload, turn
the adjusting nut in. To decrease the exten-
sion spring preload, turn the adjusting nut out.
Adjusting the rear suspension full rate
CAUTION:
ECS00750
Be sure to make this adjustment when
there is no load (rider or cargo) on the
snowmobile.
Make sure that the full rate adjusting bolt
ends are set at the same position on
each side.
NOTE:
Never allow the full rate adjusting bolt to move
