3. H/W SETUP Connectors 3. HARDWARE SETUP 11. Wake-On-LAN Connector (3-pin WOL_CON) The WOL_CON connector powers up the system when a wake-up packet or signal is received from the network through an optional PCI-L101 LAN card. IMPORTANT: This feature requires that the Wake-On-LAN is set to Enabled (see 4.5.1 Power Up Control) and that your system has an ATX power supply with at least 720mA +5V standby power. P3V4X R WOL_CON +5VSB Ground PME P3V4X Wake-On-LAN Connector 12. IrDA-Compliant Infrared Module Connector (5-pin IR) This connector supports the optional wireless transmitting and receiving infrared module. This module mounts to a small opening on system cases that support this feature. You must also configure the setting through "UART2 Use Infrared" in 4.4.2 I/O Device Configuration to select whether UART2 is directed for use with COM2 or IrDA. Use the five pins as shown on the Back View and connect a ribbon cable from the module to the motherboard according to the pin definitions. Front View Back View (NC) GND +5V IRRX IRTX P3V4X R P3V4X Infrared Module Connector IRTX GND IRRX +5V (NC) For the infrared feature to be available, you must connect the optional Infrared (IrDA) module to the motherboard.
