Turning Corners Fabric: Firm woven fabric, two pieces, 4" x 6" each Needle: 80/12 Universal Needle Position: Center BERNINA Presser Foot: Reverse Pattern Foot #1/1C/1D bernette Presser Foot: Zigzag/Universal Foot Select the straight stitch. Place the fabric pieces wrong sides together. Place the fabric under the foot and engage the Needle Stop Down function, if available (see below). Sew several lines of stitching, pivoting to form at least 2 right angle corners and 2 additional corners. Pivot, using FHS (Free Hand System), if available, to raise the presser foot. To Access Needle Stop Up/Down: activa, 3 Series, aurora, and artista: Needle stops in the up position (default). Briefly push the button and needle will go up or down. Press & hold button to set needle stop position down or up automatically until reset. Arrow indicator appears on the screen to show if it set to stop up or down. 8 Series: Needle stops with the needle up and the presser foot down (default). To change needle setting, touch the Needle Down icon. Turning Corners
To Access Needle Stop Up/Down:
activa, 3 Series, aurora, and artista:
Needle stops
in the up position (default). Briefly push the button and
needle will go up or down. Press & hold button to set
needle stop position down or up automatically until reset.
Arrow indicator appears on the screen to show if it set to
stop up or down.
8 Series:
Needle stops with the needle up and the presser
foot down (default). To change needle setting,
touch the Needle Down icon. Machine will stop
with the needle down and the presser foot up.
Select the straight stitch.
Place the fabric pieces
