You can use the pattern fills to fill a region in Design Center Stage 4 and in Layout & Editing when digitizing a closed path shape: Select as region fill "Progr.Fill Stitch", click the Sewing Attribute Set button in the General Toolbar, tab Region Sewing and browse to the fill you want to use.
