3 Checking the Battery Information You can check the battery's condition on the LCD monitor. Select [Battery info.]. Under the [53] tab, select [Battery info.], then press . Battery model or household power source being used. The battery level icon (p.39) is displayed together with the remaining battery capacity shown in 1% increments. Shots taken with the current battery. The number is reset when the battery is recharged (p.30). Battery's recharge performance level is displayed in one of three levels. (Green): Battery's recharge performance is fine. (Green): Battery's recharge performance is slightly degraded. (Red): Purchasing a new battery is recommended. The use of a genuine Canon Battery Pack LP-E4N or LP-E4 is recommended. If you use any battery other than the Battery Pack LP-E4N or LP-E4, the camera's full performance may not be attained or malfunction may result. The shutter count is the number of still photos taken. (Movies are not counted.) If [Calibration is recommended when charging battery next time] is displayed, see page 32. If for some reason, communication with the battery is not successful, [Use this battery?] will be displayed. Just select [OK] and you can continue shooting. However, the battery information screen might not appear. 364
