Delayed sending Your fax can send a document automatically at a preset time. This allows you to take advantage of lower late-night long-distance rates offered by some telephone companies. The fax can only register one preset sending operation at a time. 1 Load the document face up into the document tray. See Loading documents, p. 3-2. You can set the scanning resolution and contrast (see p. 5-1). 2 Press [Function].  Press [Send Options]. 5 3 Use [ ] or [ ] to select DELAYED TX.  Press [Start/Copy]. SET TIME 15:00 SENDING DOCUMENTS 4 Enter the desired sending time (24-hour clock) using the numeric buttons. • Set the time using the 24-hour clock system. Precede single digits with a zero. Example: 3:00 p.m. = 15:00 • Press [Clear] if you need to re-enter the time. • You can also use [ ] or [ ] to move the cursor. 5 Press [Start/Copy]. 6 Enter the receiving party's fax number. • You can enter the receiving party's fax number using the numeric buttons, one-touch speed dialing, coded speed dialing, or directory dialing (see pp. 5-5, 5-6). • If you use the numeric buttons, press [Start/Copy] after entering the number to register it. 7 Press [Start/Copy]. • Press [Start/Copy] twice when using directory dialing. • The fax scans the document into memory. 8 The fax will automatically dial at the programmed time. 5-11

Delayed sending
Your fax can send a document automatically at a preset time. This allows you to take advantage

Press [Function].
Press [Send Options].
