APPENDIX TROUBLESHOOTING Before calling your dealer or service center for assistance, check the following: G Make sure you have connected the projector to peripheral equipment as described properly in the section "CONNECTING THE PROJECTOR" on pages 11 ~ 13. G Verify that all computer, video and power cord are properly connected and turn the equipment on. G When you are operating the projector with a computer and it does not produce an image, restart the computer. G Select the other input source. Problem: No power. Try these Solutions G Plug the projector into an AC outlet. G Make sure the READY Indicator lights. G Wait 90 seconds after the projector is turned OFF before turning the projector back on. NOTE : After pressing the Power ON-OFF button to OFF, make sure the projector works as follows: 1. The LAMP indicator lights bright and the READY indicator turns off. 2. After 90 seconds, the READY indicator lights green again and the projector can be turned on by pressing the Power ON-OFF button. Image is out of focus. Picture is Left/Right reversed. Picture is Top/Bottom reversed. Some displays are not seen during the Operation. No image. No sound. Computer 1 cannot be selected. G Check the WARNING TEMP. indicator. If this indicator flashes red, the projector cannot be turned on. (See the "TURNING ON/OFF THE PROJECTOR" section on page 19.) G Check the Projection Lamp. (Refer to page 38.) G Adjust the focus of the projector. G Make sure a projection screen is at least 3.6' (1.1m) from the projector. G Check the Projection Lens to see if it needs cleaning. NOTE : Moving the projector from a cool temperature location to a warm temperature location may result in moisture condensation on the Projection Lens. In such an event, leave the projector OFF and wait until condensation disappears. G Check Ceiling / Rear feature. (See the "SETTING" section on page 36.) G Check Ceiling feature. (See the "SETTING" section on page 36.) G Check Display feature.(See the "SETTING" section on page 36.) G Check the connection between your computer or video equipment and the projector. G Check the NO SHOW function. (Refer to P21.) G When turning the projector on, it takes about 30 seconds to display an image. G Check the system that you select is corresponding with your computer or video equipment. G Make sure the temperature is not out of the Operating Temperature (5°C ~ 35°C). G Check the audio cable connection from the audio input source. G Adjust the audio source. G Press the VOLUME (+) button. G Press the MUTE button. G Check RGB IN 1 / OUT terminal is set as COMPUTER 1. (See the "SETTING" section on page 36.) 42

TROUBLESHOOTING
Before calling your dealer or service center for assistance, check the following:
Make sure you have connected the projector to peripheral equipment as described properly in the section
CONNECTING
THE PROJECTOR
on pages 11 ~ 13.
Verify that all computer, video and power cord are properly connected and turn the equipment on.
When you are operating the projector with a computer and it does not produce an image, restart the computer.
Select the other input source.
No power.
Plug the projector into an AC outlet.
Make sure the READY Indicator lights.
Wait 90 seconds after the projector is turned OFF before turning the projector back on.
NOTE : After pressing the Power ON-OFF button to OFF, make sure the projector works as
follows:
1. The LAMP indicator lights bright and the READY indicator turns off.
2. After 90 seconds, the READY indicator lights green again and the projector can
be turned on by pressing the Power ON-OFF button.
Check the WARNING TEMP. indicator.
If this indicator flashes red, the projector cannot
be turned on.

Check the Projection Lamp.
(Refer to page 38.)
Image is out of
focus.
Adjust the focus of the projector.
Make sure a projection screen is at least 3.6
(1.1m) from the projector.
Check the Projection Lens to see if it needs cleaning.
NOTE : Moving the projector from a cool temperature location to a warm temperature
location may result in moisture condensation on the Projection Lens.
In such an
event, leave the projector OFF and wait until condensation disappears.
Picture is Left/Right
reversed.
Check Ceiling / Rear feature.
