- If the AF-assist beam is turned off, it may become more difficult for the camera to focus in dark conditions. - The red-eye reduction lamp may emit when you press the shutter button halfway even if the AF-assist beam is turned off. In order to prevent any lamp from emitting before the flash fires, set both the red-eye reduction function and the AF-assist beam to [Off] in the Shooting menu. Shooting - The Basics Reviewing an Image Right after Shooting Mode Dial After a photo is taken, the image displays on the LCD monitor for two seconds. In addition, the image will keep on displaying regardless of the review duration setting if one of the following operations is performed. z Keeping the shutter button fully pressed z Pressing the SET button while the image is displayed* Press the shutter button halfway again to stop displaying it so that you can shoot the next image. You can perform the following while images are displayed.* • Erase Images Individually (p. 64) • Display the setting details of the image (p. 28). • Magnify Images (p. 58) (When pressing the SET button while the image is displayed.) * Not available in (Stitch Assist) mode. 37 The Basics
