Shooting Resetting the File Number The images you shoot are automatically assigned file numbers. You can select how the file number is assigned. The file number is reset to the start (100-0001) each time a new SD On card is inserted. New images recorded on SD cards with existing files are assigned the next available number. Off The file number of the last image to be shot is memorized so that images recorded to a new SD card start from the next number. 1 In the (Set up) menu, select [File No. Reset]. See Selecting Menus and Settings (p. 47). 2 Use the or button to select [On] or [Off] and press the MENU button. The display will return to the shooting screen. Setting the File No. Reset to [Off] is useful for avoiding file name duplication when images are downloaded to a computer. 111
