Recording Audio Recording Audio The camcorder features 4-channel linear PCM or 2-channel AAC audio recording and playback. The sampling frequency is 48 kHz and the audio sampling bit depth is 16 bit. You can record audio using the built-in stereo microphone, commercially available external microphone (INPUT 1/INPUT 2 terminals*, MIC terminal) or line input (INPUT 1/INPUT 2 terminals*). Using the INPUT 1/INPUT 2 terminals, you can select the audio input independently for channel 1 68 (CH1) and channel 2 (CH2). The audio signal will be output along with the video signal from the SDI OUT terminal (s only) and HDMI OUT terminal. You can record this audio signal on an external recorder. * Available only when the handle unit is attached to the camcorder. Operating modes: Selecting the Audio Recording Format You can set the audio recording format to AAC (2 channels, 16 bit) or linear PCM (4 channels, 16 bit). When the resolution is set to 1280x720, the audio format is set to AAC and cannot be changed. 1 Select [¸ Audio Format]. > [3 ! This format is uncompressed and offers higher audio quality.
