J Instruct scanning to start from the software application. IMPORTANT • Set the [Page Size] to [Auto detection] when scanning in the Long Document mode. Auto Power Off The scanner automatically turns off when scanning or another operation is not performed for a certain time. To setting this function, follow the procedure below. A Start Windows and log in as a user with administrator privileges. B Click the Start button, and then click [All Programs], [CANON CR-L1], and [Canon imageFORMULA Utility]. imageFORMULA Utility starts. C Click [CANON CR-L1 USB] and click [Properties]. Scanner properties are displayed. D Click the [Maintenance] tab and then click [Turn off automatically after 4 hours] check box to change the setting. • The document length that can be scanned in the Long Document mode depends on the scan mode and resolution.
