Chapter 3 Installing the Router Connecting the Network Cables To connect the 2-port A/S serial module, perform these steps: Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 Step 5 Power off the MWR 1941-DC router. Connect one end of the appropriate serial cable to a DB-60 port on the module, as shown in Figure 3-5. Connect the other end of the cable to the appropriate type of equipment, as shown in Figure 3-5. Power on the Cisco MWR 1941-DC router. Verify that the CONN LED turns green, indicating that the serial port on the module detects the WAN serial connection.
