Chapter 1 Product Overview Front Panel Description SFP and SFP+ Modules The SFP and SFP+ modules provide copper or fiber-optic connections to other devices. These transceiver modules are field-replaceable, providing the uplink interfaces when installed in an SFP module slot. The SFP modules have LC connectors for fiber-optic connections or RJ-45 connectors for copper connections. Use only Cisco SFP modules on the switch. Note The (downlink) SFP module slots on the Catalyst 3750-X-12S and Catalyst 3750-X-24S switch front panel support any combination of standard SFP modules. SFP+ modules are not supported.
