Remove the SFP modules from the network module. Loosen the captive screws that hold the network module in place. Carefully press the tab on the right side of the network module to release it from the slot. Grasp the edges of the module, and carefully slide it out of the slot. Install a replacement network module or a blank module in the slot. Place the module that you removed in an antistatic bag or other protective environment. Caution

Removing a Network Module
Step 1
Attach an ESD-preventive wrist strap to your wrist and to a bare metal surface.

and modules before removing the network module from the slot.
Step 2
Disconnect the cables from the SFP module.
Step 3
Remove the SFP modules from the network module.
Step 4
Loosen the captive screws that hold the network module in place.
Step 5
Carefully press the tab on the right side of the network module to release it from the slot. Grasp the edges
of the module, and carefully slide it out of the slot.
Step 6
Install a replacement network module or a blank module in the slot.
Step 7
Place the module that you removed in an antistatic bag or other protective environment.
