Next, check each port that you want to block traffic for the specified multicast group. Click Apply to activate the filter. IGMP Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) snooping allows the Switch to recognize IGMP queries and reports sent between network stations or devices and an IGMP router. IGMP is used for managing IP multicast groups. The Switch will send IGMP query messages and get the IGMP response from hosts to "learn" the source port members of that multicast address.
