When you have completed the edit for each such line in STARTNET.BAT, then save STARTNET.BAT and exit from Edit. If you are uncertain whether the DFE-650 occupies Slot 1 or Slot 2, and you have entered the wrong slot number, then when you restart the notebook PC, there will be a diagnostic which advises that "the PC Card is not present" and there will be no network connection. If you do not get a network connection upon your restart, then rework your editing of STARTNET.BAT, entering the alternate PC Card Slot Number (substitute SLOT=2 in each place where you have added SLOT=1).
